...seriously, the whole psychic-voice-in-your-head thing is creepy. she blinks at the pokemon before shrugging. she's glad that grayson doesn't mind her unwillingness to elaborate, because really, it wasn't that big of a deal.

(but it is, isn't it, because you're dangerous now, you're bad, shattered, torn, why is he still there, get away from here --)

"thanks," she says to grayson instead, and holds her hands out to nana to see if the pokemon will allow her to pick her up. because hey, pokemon.

"don't thank people who do nothing for you. save it for those who do." he takes another bite. nana squeals and jumps into ahuda's grasp, settling right into her arms.

"sometimes nothing is something," she says, and rubs the base of nana's ears. ares wanders off, continuing to poke at things and debris. madonna finds a berry that she likes and starts eating it.

"eh." nana squirms happily, mewing as she preened in ahuda's arms.

ahuda continues petting nana because the repetitive movements are therapeutic, while wondering where her partner went off to. madonna finishes the berry, just in time for ares to come back. < there's something i think you should see, > he says, and ahuda lowers nana to the ground with a murmured apology.

"something's come up," she tells both pokemon and trainer, and gives them an apologetic smile. "it was nice meeting you both, though. stay safe."

and then she's off.
