"snowball fight?" he asked, and then pelted thalia straight in the face.

she blinked. there was snow on her eyelashes; everyone looked kind of white and fuzzy.

J was about to reject shamees's offer of a snowball fight, but he soon remembered that thalia had super strength. a snowball fight would be extremely cathartic.

"sure," said J, rolling a snowball for himself before tossing it to thalia. "catch."

the snowballs thalia made were less snowballs, more ice bullets. she lobbed them at shamees with all the fervor of youth and the strength of legendary-induced mutation.

shamees yelped as one pegged him on the leg.

"i have--! delicate skin!" he snorted and jumped out of the way of another. "i bruise easily!"

his mienshao popped up in a row behind him and began launching their own volley of snowballs at J and Thalia.

shamees jumping around in an ice-blue dress was a sight for the ages. J framed it in his mind.

a snowball or two whizzed past his ears, a little too close for comfort. J ducked behind a large rock for cover. he realized he shouldn't have left thalia out in the open, but she was a one-man snow bullet machine, and she ought to smack a few more into shamees to get their point across.

J attempted to get the mienshao with snowballs so that thalia could get a clear shot at shamees.
