This world is inhabited by creatures that we call pokemon. People and pokemon live together by supporting each other, but now the scourge threatens the safety of the entire region. Kohaku has become a dangerous place, where children stay at home and only brave souls go adventuring.
Welcome to KOHAKU. Come for the nightmares. Stay for the tea and crumpets.
The season is SUMMER. It is easy for survivors to forage for food from the land, as there are entire abandoned farms ready for harvest. On the downside, you can smell the corpses.

The howl was effective, and it made the Manectric wince in pain. It seemed to up the Mightyena's nerve, but she still waited for Regina to give her an order.
Her opponent, on the other hand, used this moment to attack once more. He howled back at the wolf and human, only to then lash out with another Spark.

"You-" she scolded, running closer to the dog-fight, wanting to rip the Manectric off the Mightyena. "Off Off of her! Bite! Assurance! Do you think this is the time and place to be harassing trainers?" She yelled at the Manetric of the swamps. This fight was starting to get over the top, and in the middle of a wilds, it wasn't the time to take needless risks?
The Mightyena did as she was told, sparks flying through her stiff fur. The bite connected with the Manectric's front paw, which made him yelp out in pain. Seeing that he was outmatched, the electric dog howled once more before limping off into the fog.
A victorious howl escaped the Mightyena's lips, then she turned to look at Regina. She almost smiled, if dogs could smile.
Regina rushed over to her Poochyena, falling down before it and hurrying to check its pulse. Her hand pressed against its neck feeling through the fur, her ear also leaning down to make out the Mightyena's heartbeat. It was there, faint, but all right. It must have been the electricity that paralyzed it? Regardless, she flicked out the needle again stuck it behind the wolf's ear. Her thumb pressed down to squirt the vaccine in.
"You'll have to rest for a bit. I'll take care of you from here on out," she muttered as she withdrew a pokeball. A warm red light basked over the Mightyena, and then, it disappeared.
Her golbat soon flapped over, the chaos now absent of the dreaded electricity. Regina tossed the ball in her hand with an ironic playfulness. "I can hardly believe it...." she muttered with disappointment.
