This world is inhabited by creatures that we call pokemon. People and pokemon live together by supporting each other, but now the scourge threatens the safety of the entire region. Kohaku has become a dangerous place, where children stay at home and only brave souls go adventuring.
Welcome to KOHAKU. Come for the nightmares. Stay for the tea and crumpets.
The season is SUMMER. It is easy for survivors to forage for food from the land, as there are entire abandoned farms ready for harvest. On the downside, you can smell the corpses.

karimi isn't really sure if they're talking about the same thing anymore. nevertheless, she starts talking.
"no, i mean...the vaccine is only beneficial for when the scourge attack. developing regimens is beneficial to all trainers no matter what's going on. we could have learned all about pokemon potential even without the scourge." karimi thinks back to her days of secondary school. "kohaku has a long history of pokemon training. we would have had a place in shaping it even if we weren't fighting for our lives. at least that's what i figured when i graduated from grade school."
she is the girl who only wants to gaze into the future forever, but the war sees little choice but to tear her eyes away and into the present. this isn't who she is, and karimi knows it. this is who she needs to be, sharpened like the edge of a blade. vertigo
"grade school. someone's lucky," ignatius remarked, smirking. "i know what kohaku does. gym challenges and stuff -- not much different compared to the other regions. we're just occupied by the scourge right now. it's like their villainous teams, except amplified several times over."
he didn't know what the topic of their conversation was anymore. after getting his entries, he was already satiated and content to talk about different topics with karimi.
karimi feels oh so fortunate to be living in the region with zombie tamers for a villainous team. it really puts things into perspective.
"we're gonna survive. like the other regions. you're gonna survive this too, and don't you forget it!" the weather is still a bit chilly, so she recalls the wailord. "...hey, um. thanks for listening to me ramble. i know i can seem like a earful sometimes." as some of the university faculty were prone to telling her, at least. vertigo
"i don't mind listening to people," said ignatius. everyone had to vent, or talk sometimes, and that was perfectly fine by him. the researcher watched as the wailord disappeared back into its pokéball. "call if you ever want to talk, alia."
and karimi is one step closer to toska's goal of making her friends or at least friendly with most of the researchers on this site. this is also probably the thread that makes her stop giving out a first name. vertigo /end?
