Cirrus tilted her head to one side and then the other as the Tailow hopped toward her. She beamed at the compliment. ‘Tailow too! And Iinna too!’

Taryn watched as Ignatius scanned her Pokemon. She then sent her Skrelp back into her Pokeball – not entirely comfortable with keeping a relatively weak aquatic Pokemon on dry land for very long – but let the others remain free for now. But then he spoke, and her eyes widened. He was offering her vaccines? She’d priced them before and knew they were expensive. He said researchers produced them, though. Maybe it was cheaper for them?

Ignatius showed her the vaccines. He was really going to help her, then? She smiled at him. “I appreciate it, and now is good. Everyone present is going to be part of my main team.” Now, she needed to decide who needed the vaccines most. She didn’t have to think about it long – of the three unvaccinated Pokemon, the Ralts was the one that could afford to wait. She was the newest and youngest member of the team, and would be capable of fighting at a distance. The Sneasel and Fletchling would be taking bigger risks, so they needed their vaccines as soon as possible. Having decided, Taryn sent the Ralts back into her Pokeball.

the taillow trilled a happy song as it was joined by another friend. the spearow had a low timbre, and it spoke to the rest of them. it was starting to get a little merry atop the venusaur.

'ah, a new one to the park! how are you enjoying this place, the both of you? the swablu and the venusaur, of course. i've seen you around, little taillow.'

ignatius waited until taryn had made her decision, before retrieving the first tube out of its casing. he tapped it once or twice, then gestured towards the two pokémon. "come here for a minute, then," said the researcher, before administering the vaccine to the duo.

"there you go," he said to the trainer, "all vaccinated. it'll take a while before they gain the same shine as other vaccinated pokémon do. weaker ones may feel feverish in the meantime, but if you care for them, they should be fine after an hour or two."
