the croconaw hopped off the slab and wandered off in the general direction of wukong. pokémon did attract other pokémon, after all.

"i see," said ikram, nodding, "so all these ranger signs are about putting effort into it. like ... hard work makes things better?" it was just a general sort of statement, but that was definitely the vibes she was getting from her job as a ranger.

ikram turned to where the croconaw and her chimchar was, and called out to them. "hey guys, let's get moving," she said, and turned to hieronymous:

"it was nice meeting you. you're actually a pretty cool person, sir, and i hope we'll meet again someday. maybe not in a crypt." ikram smiled.

and she was off with two partner pokémon in tow.
