DEFENDING KOHAKU Areas that are overtaken or threatened by the scourge have a Scourge Meter posted in that forum's headers.
Scourge meters are updated/reset after a month.
The scourge meter tallies up how many scourge pokemon have been defeated in a given area. The required tally may be high or low depending on how badly overrun the area is.
In these areas, you may post a [mod] or [event] thread requesting to battle a scourge pokemon. You have one month to complete the thread for it to count for the Scourge Meter. Threads that go on for longer will grant EXP as usual, but will not count for the meter.
For example, liberating Subforum Area X may require defeating 15 scourge pokemon. If a month passes and the scourge meter is not filled, then the scourge continues to own the area--although the meter may reset to a higher or lower target depending on the effort put in. If the scourge meter IS filled, then the scourge are put to rout.
For another month after an area is liberated, mods will leave open scourge pokemon threads there for trainers to fight off. If these scourge pokemon are not all defeated within a month, the area may be retaken by scourge.
If a safe area is attacked by scourge pokemon, and those pokemon are not all defeated within a month, the area may be taken by the scourge.
