When the Heal heard word of the Scourge by overhearing her parents arguing over which one of them would join the Eos program, and which one would stay home to help protect the village if the Scourge were to attack. Heal interrupted them, proposing that she would go instead - immediately they told her no. Through many hours discussion they finally agreed to let her go, if she would not put herself into life-threatening danger.
