This world is inhabited by creatures that we call pokemon. People and pokemon live together by supporting each other, but now the scourge threatens the safety of the entire region. Kohaku has become a dangerous place, where children stay at home and only brave souls go adventuring.
Welcome to KOHAKU. Come for the nightmares. Stay for the tea and crumpets.
The season is SUMMER. It is easy for survivors to forage for food from the land, as there are entire abandoned farms ready for harvest. On the downside, you can smell the corpses.

A distant strike of thunder cut through the air, and Regina looked up worried through the foliage. She'd been hiking for hours, and had forgot to let the Taillow out to watch the way ahead. Now, she hoped she could make it to the next ranger station, but the forest had become mysteriously dense and thick.
She hurriedly pressed through - what if it were right around the next corner. If she hurried, she could make it. Her boots skidded on the rocks, leaping over roots that stuck out of the ground, this way and that, bracing herself against tree trunks. It didn't take long for her feet to get tangled in this rush. and her face slammed into the ground, her body roughly sliding and her hands scrapping to stop her. She moaned, easing herself up.
"Damn it..." she said, picking up cracked lens and frames smashed in half.
Amberwell was the one thing that was constantly on Olivia's mind, she was the guardian of it. She was the one who well, protected it from all that wanted to do it harm. But sometimes, Olivia needed a bit of a break from the water. As healing as the water could be, Olivia was sure that someone could go mad from staring at it for what seemed like forever. She was sure that's how the cults stared popping up, but not like anyone of them were truly wrong. She left the water in the capable hands of Earl, the Escavalier.
Border patrol was more Olivia's thing anyway, her hands ran along the tree bark as she walked passed them. They pulled off a few leaves from trees, and started to tug them apart. It was a thing that Olivia never did consciously, because why would anyone think about such a thing? Her hands were almost like a second pair of eyes to her, touch was a sense that her body seemed to have a much better time understanding than her vision.
Before long, Olivia heard a thud. Olivia decided fairly quickly that'd be best to check it. She rushed over to the source, a girl had fallen. She had gotten herself up at least, so that didn't mean she was terribly hurt, right? She noticed the girl's broken glasses, and reached out to her, placing a hand on her arm. "Are you alright? Can you see?"

"Whoa! H-hi there!" Regina jumped at the blurry vision of aquamarine hair and liepard skin. She fell back on her elbows, the glasses falling unceremoniously out of her hands. With wide eyes and quck breathing, like a startled small rodent, she stared at the amorphous blob infront of her.
She squinted. A lot.
"N-no, not really," she said, blindly patting around as if even finding her glasses would do her any good. Still, she wanted to look somewhat put together. She reached also for the hand put on her arm, blushing something bashful. "Who are you? I don't know -- I think I broke my them--" Finally, she plucked up the smashed frames - or half of them - by the long ear piece.
Olivia knew straight out that she couldn't leave this poor woman on her own, she was defenseless. Despite the fact that the scourge normally stayed far away from these parts, there were other dangers lurking in the shadows. As long as she was here, the girl, who really couldn't see was under Olivia's protection. She grabbed the girl's arm and attempted to help her up. "It's alright, nothing will happen to you with me around." As if that was actually one of the girl's fears.
"Hello, I'm Olivia, member of the Elite Four." She let the girl's arm go for a moment, letting her eyes scan the ground and luckily she found a shard of shimmering glass that happened to be laying next to the other part of the girl's glasses. She picked them up, careful not to cut herself. After she retrieved them, she grabbed the girl's hand, rather mindlessly. "Are they prescription? I think I have a pair of reading glasses back at home."
She was fixated on the girl's hair, she really liked other people's hair. It seemed so soft and without thought one hand found itself in the girl's hair, she admired it. She pulled it back though. "Sorry, couldn't help myself."
"Who are you?"
TAGScold volume NOTES olivia's mannerisms are a lot like my own??
"E-elite Four...!" Regina said, blindly patting the woman's chest, then clamping her arms over her shoulders. She made strange and adorable faces trying to see the stranger's face properly.
As Olivia's fingers pressed into her black hair, touching it fondly, Regina felt a strange and reluctant pleasure. "...They are prescription," she said as if admitting defeat, "and I-I don't mind I guess?" When in Rome! The elementary wholesomeness of the feeling made her reach out and touch the other woman's hair. The aquamarine head had very soft lockes, but there were bits of stones and bark in it. She felt like she was petting mermaid hair.
"I'm honored to meet such a lady as yourself," she said, taking her hands back and bowing. "O-oh, you can call me Reggie I guess," she said with a bashful grin. "Heheh, this is embarressing. I'm really not at my best right now," she admitted. "Do you live nearby."
