The season is SUMMER. It is easy for survivors to forage for food from the land, as there are entire abandoned farms ready for harvest. On the downside, you can smell the corpses.

"Bored!" Arden complained. She was also starved, and she'd only just poured hot water into her instant noodles. At least five minutes to go before they were anywhere near edible. "And hungry!"
Pal Park was a lovely place, and Arden had claimed for the two agents an entire hill, because Arden liked being king of the hill. Jack slithered through the grass, occasionally finding a rattata to eat. Arden wished she could just chomp on a rattata off the ground.
So Arden sat, king of the hill, waiting for her noodles to cook. "Should've just done a barbecue," she muttered.

Cameron stared at her own insta-noodles, ignoring Arden's complaints in favor of watching the steam rise. This was probably when the woman should have said "Be patient" or some such thing, but the fact that even her camerupt was sending frustrated glances her way wasn't helping.
Rapture agreed wholeheartedly with having a barbecue. The camerupt couldn't eat flimsy noodle-stuff, anyway.
The woman stared at her slowly expanding food. "... But a barbecue takes longer." That would have defeated the purpose, right?

Neo brought out Tiresias, Icarus, and Leto. She wasn't going to get magnitude'd to death this time.
"The camerupt's powerful. Not sure about the dragonair," Neo said to Delilah. Honestly, the dragonair worried her--a lot. She didn't like unknowns, and she'd have preferred to have found Cameron alone.

She saw the surf and hydro pump coming--likely because of the sound of a lot of pokemon on the offensive--and Arden rushed to save her noodles. Because, you know, priorities.

"You got a revive on you, maybe?" Arden asked through a mouthful of ramen. "Because if you don't, I vote we get the hell out of here."
