name malik naji. age twenty-five. class researcher. hometown a settlement on route four in the unova region. personality selfless confident observant tolerant adventurous audacious sarcastic honorable arrogant theatrical history malik had been raised with a deaf sister. he communicated primarily with her through touch and sign language. she was his best friend and he spent less time with other children, and more time with her. because of this, malik is a very quiet boy. he loves to be around people and he loves to socialize, but he has troubles with speaking. he rarely says the right things and comes off as very rude and sarcastic. their family was very affectionate, and he sees nothing wrong with hugging, kissing, or holding hands with his acquaintances, if only just as a greeting or thanks. when the scourge took over kohaku, malik had no idea. he was on a boat, traveling to the new region for a change of scenery, when the whole incident happened. one minute, malik was eager to start a new adventure. then, the next, he found himself in a zombie infested hell hole. this wasn't what he'd signed up for. but malik feared that, if he didn't help, this infection could spread to the other regions. he was scared that he'd lose his sister and the rest of his family. he keeps in touch with them through letters. born and raised in the desert, malik has a knack for ground and rock types. he was a very loose fitting tunic and a headcloth to protect himself from desert heat. his destination had been the mors desert when he decided to come to kohaku- so he continues to wear this outfit. it's the only clothing he owns, coming from a rather poor family, but he stops to hand wash it every chance he gets. it wouldn't due to smell bad in the presence of the region's natives. ooc face claim: MAGI, ja'far
