This world is inhabited by creatures that we call pokemon. People and pokemon live together by supporting each other, but now the scourge threatens the safety of the entire region. Kohaku has become a dangerous place, where children stay at home and only brave souls go adventuring.
Welcome to KOHAKU. Come for the nightmares. Stay for the tea and crumpets.
The season is SUMMER. It is easy for survivors to forage for food from the land, as there are entire abandoned farms ready for harvest. On the downside, you can smell the corpses.

Her third badge. She didn't know much about this gym leader, but she did know he hosted dark types. But she was ready and so were her pokemon. When Emily entered the area, she looked around for the gym leader.
"I'm Emily Thorne, a trainer looking for her third gym battle!" @some mod idk
"Looking, you said?" A dark-haired man seems to materialize before the girl, dressed in a complete butler's outfit. He bows politely at her, crimson eyes sparkling with amusement. "I'd be honored to entertain you this evening," Angelo said as he straightened, then gazed at each of the girl's Pokémon. "Four Pokémon each, and double battles are my specialty. If you could just come this way." He made a sweeping gesture for Emily to follow him.
The man disappeared down the hall, heading past Mefitis and towards the center where an arena with a polished floor stood.
Wow. Emily's eyes sparkled when the male appeared before her. "You're so handsome!" she blurted out, only to close her mouth with her hand. A blush spread across her cheeks and she nodded when he told her the rules.
"Y-yes! Okay..." she whispered, following the male to the arena. She'd battled the scourge with more than one pokemon at a time...Was that considered a double battle? ZULF ?
Angelo was well-aware of his own charm, and the man may or may not have used it to his advantage in securing a gym position. Then again, the leader always believed in using all that he'd been gifted with to his advantage. So the man offered a cool smile before deciding against responding to save Emily any further embarrassment.
He released Gloaming and Vigil, a Houndoom and a Zoroark. "We shall begin whenever you're ready," he stated, each Pokémon taking on their respective battle stances.
The dark-type specialist raised a brow as the girl released a Blaziken and a Fraxure. The Blaziken was going to be a problem, what with its fighting-type attacks in its arsenal (or so he presumed). The man nodded in the fully-evolved Pokémon's direction as the Zoroark's eyes flashed, releasing a wave of psychic energy at the Blaziken after being kicked in the face twice. Then the Pokémon rushed forwards, smacked the Fraxure, before returning. It was a Honchkrow that replaced him.
Meanwhile, the Houndoom leaped forward, taking the Fraxure into his jaws.

"Very good, very good!" Angelo called from his end of the Nerio City Gym arena. The Blaziken was really picking on his Pokémon's fighting-type weaknesses. It made the battles all the more exciting though. The Houndoom managed to weave away from the Fraxure as it clawed at him. The gym leader snapped his fingers as the Houndoom retaliated by sending a vortex of flames in the Pokémon's direction. The Honchkrow also got a double-kick to the face, but the crow Pokémon was still holding up strongly.

I don't think guaranteed critical hit means 100 percent accuracy unless stated somewhere? I believe it means guaranteed critical hit if the attack lands?
"Attacks that boost CHANCE OF CRITICAL HITS guarantee a critical hit the next turn. A critical hit does twice as much damage as the normal attack." It just says guarantee so I'm assuming it means that it is a for sure hit.
