name Keanu Scarlett. age Seventeen. class Ranger. hometown Ecruteak City, Johto. personality flexible empathetic trustworthy knowledgeable resourceful inexperienced worrisome secretive impatient perfectionist history was born in ecruteak city but his dad shortly moved to kohaku as he snagged a job as a researcher there. at fourteen, he moved to ceres forest with his mother, finally meeting up with his father after such a long time. he was fourteen when he was training to become a ranger win johto when kohaku started the eos program and urged many rangers from other regions to apply and help fight the scourge. keanu originally wanted to be a pokemon trainer, but did poorly in pokemon trainer school because he wasn't very good at battling. he's gotten better at battling now, but he's much better at befriending pokemon rather than fighting them to catch them. although he is often seen dozing off or relaxing, keanu takes his job as a ranger very seriously and won't tolerate anyone calling him lazy. he's relatively responsible when it comes down to doing his ranger duties and will do whatever it takes to end the scourge. has a very rough relationship with his parents due to his sexuality and choice of being a ranger. although his dad is a researcher and understands the importance of rangers, keanu denied an opportunity to study beside his father as a research intern; something his father took to heart. because of their rocky relationship, keanu lives alone in apartment outside of cura village but still keeps in contact with his family. suffers from mild social anxiety - the type of anxiety that makes him fearful of what others think of him and thus a people pleaser (he has no problem with talking with others). he doesn't like disappointing others nor does he like confrontation and feels the need to do whatever is necessary to make someone happy, even if it's very unrealistic. ooc face claim: TAMAKO MARKET, ooji mochizou
