This world is inhabited by creatures that we call pokemon. People and pokemon live together by supporting each other, but now the scourge threatens the safety of the entire region. Kohaku has become a dangerous place, where children stay at home and only brave souls go adventuring.
Welcome to KOHAKU. Come for the nightmares. Stay for the tea and crumpets.
The season is SUMMER. It is easy for survivors to forage for food from the land, as there are entire abandoned farms ready for harvest. On the downside, you can smell the corpses.

It was good to get off the beaten track. By beaten track, Lucas obviously meant the filled streets of Prosperpina. They were crowded with all kinds of folk enjoying the festival which was being held. The fresh sea air found on the less crowded docks was refreshing after a day of getting pushed around in the crowds. Lucas had even let his trusty Solosis out of his ball. The little ball of goo rested upon his trainer's shoulder. He walked to the edge of the particular pier that he had chosen to stand on and looked down into the water.
the baby wingull is a tiny, lost little thing who was seperated from his mother. he had been searching all morning, but to no avail. his wings are tired, and he needs to rest his wings before continuing his search.
he spies a comfortable looking pillow and nestles on top of it. the gel of the solosis cools his feathers, and he coos appreciatively.
Well that was an odd surprise to say the least. Nothing came from the water, only something from the sky. Lucas peered up at the seagull Pokemon as it landed on top of his Solosis, who nearly jumped in surprise as the newcomer took a rest on top of his gel like body. "Well, hello there little one." Lucas greeted softly. This one seemed rather young, and thankfully it was peaceful. He would get the chance to communicate with it. Normally understanding Pokemon would be a problem, but with a telepath like Mr. Binks on his side he had a worthy translator.
"What do I have the honor of your presence?" He asked the Wingull. "Mr. Binks, tell me what it says." The shy bubble of goo nodded a little inside the gel ball and prepared to copy Wingull's words into the mind of his trainer.
the baby wingull is so startled by the talking pillow that he starts growling at it. he tries to fly away, but he accidentally falls backwards instead, landing on the ground.
That didn't go according to plan. He must have shocked the Wingull. The growl it made didn't bother him too much, but it seemed to have given Mr. Binks second thoughts about attacking up close and personal. He didn't mean this Wingull harm though. "I'm sorry for startling you. I don't want to hurt you." It probably wasn't used to humans, but maybe by keeping his distance it would understand he didn't want to fight.
the wingull ruffles his feathers and attempts to look itimidating. still, he's a naive little fellow who attempts to get a little closer to the immobile solosis. he's never seen any psychic pokemon before, after all.
he still seems like a good pillow. the wingull sits ontop of him.
