He was meant for scientific glory - he was accepted to some of the top schools in the region, all based on his raw intellect. Though after highschool, he cracked under the pressure and became a professional surfer, He was living a rather laid back lifestyle. All of that changed when the Scourge began, and at first, Ariel wanted nothing to do with it - intent on just ignoring it.- Though on one faithful day, Ariel was on vacation in Bacchus Town, and that's when it happened. Ariel and his pokemon fought bravely, but within hours Ariel's pokemon had become part of the Scourge, and against all odds, Ariel made it out alive. Ariel was found by the Eos program because of the whole ordeal and Ariel gladly enlisted. Eventually, when Ariel figured he could go no further, when he was of no more use. He became the commander of his own army of Frillish and Jellicent. Technically, he's become a "professor," and he's really supposed to stay in his lab and help out trainers, but surfing the seas, and being a self proclaimed defender of the water is a lot more fun than sitting in a lab studying. If you can somehow meet him on the water, he'll help out a researcher or maybe even battle a trainer.
