The season is SUMMER. It is easy for survivors to forage for food from the land, as there are entire abandoned farms ready for harvest. On the downside, you can smell the corpses.

In the dream, Thalia is monstrous. Her eyes are red, her palms cracked. Her skin is as dull and grey as the grave. Her hair is matted to the back of her neck with sweat, and there's cloying heat that presses down on her with sticky fingers.
She wipes her mouth with the back of her wrist and it tastes like blood. The black trees that cut through the sky are the only thing she can see for miles. This is nowhere like she's see in the Dream World before. There's not even a hint of the city's glimmer in the distance. She checks her belt on instinct, brushing her fingers across all six pokeballs, and then begins to walk.

they were engaged in some sort of ritualistic slaughter. scourge against scourge, kin against kin. they grew stronger after it. this was for the betterment of their superior race.
Thalia remembered that tit tree Sudowoodo. And it had brought friends. Or maybe it was more accurate to say it'd gone back to its friends and she had brought no one. She tried to wake herself up--this was a dream!--but it was like one of those horrible nightmares where you were glued to the spot. Her hand shook as she fumbled out a pokeball. It didn't matter, right? It was just a dream.

everything disappeared, except the tit tree, because sturdy. wait a second, how did that happen? they seemed a little too flimsy to be real, and also this was the land of nightmares -- the trees simply melted into nothing upon contact with the attacks. they were gone, save the sudowoodo.

Blastoise, charizard and dragonite all fainted, because let's be honest: that's what was going to happen, and this saves me the trouble of doing all the math just to find out that yes, everyone did faint.

"Don't you fucking dare," she growled at the tit tree. Maybe J was rubbing off on her.

Unfortunately for Thalia, she had used up her dodge last turn trying to protect her virtue. As the rock slide came crashing down, she tossed togepi to safety but found herself rooted to the ground by some higher power that rendered her incapable of movement.
"This is bullshit," she complained, but the boulders hit her anyway.

Togepi fainted. Normally would Thalia would have been a bit sad, but she was currently crushed from the waist down by an enormous boulder; as it was, all she did was glare up at the sudowoodo and--wow. That was an attractive sudowoodo. Such...lush branches.
Thalia's head swam as the sudowoodo whispered to her. She really wanted to lie down and just let its leaves cover her. No! No!
She barely jerked out of the way of attract. Then she swallowed her pride.
"Ok, dear," she told the sudowoodo. "When do you want the wedding?" She wished that she could pretend those words were hard to say, but alas captivate was still in effect.
"Darling," Thalia purred. "I hate to infringe on you further, but is there perhaps somewhere we could go that's a little more private...and hospitable? As lovely as your realm is, my frail human body is ill-suited for it."
