This world is inhabited by creatures that we call pokemon. People and pokemon live together by supporting each other, but now the scourge threatens the safety of the entire region. Kohaku has become a dangerous place, where children stay at home and only brave souls go adventuring.

The season is SUMMER. It is easy for survivors to forage for food from the land, as there are entire abandoned farms ready for harvest. On the downside, you can smell the corpses.

the wailord exploded in a mass of scourge goo and scourge fat, and soon, half the bog (not an exaggeration) was covered in dead scourge wailord. if sofia was smiling, her face didn't show it. she was slightly annoyed at how easily it had died, but remained civil towards karimi. that wasn't cool. it hadn't been -- fully studied.
but a smile was soon carved upon her face as she realized the implication.
wow i didn't realize pi sofia would be this creepy but that's okay since karimi doesn't really notice. she's too busy realizing that she didn't even get the fucking scourge entry

"fuck, no...let me go die..."
the urge to curl up into a ball was strong in this one.
sofia glanced around her as the surroundings quivered, and something started to rise in the bog.
scourge swalot appeared. it wasn't one -- there were at least six of them, all come to feast upon the exploded wailord. "come one, come all," sofia said, sending moriarty to do battle against them. the gengar single-handedly was staving off two swalot, but more seemed to come from the bog.
perhaps the bog was infested with swalot.

now, what was special about round was that its power intensified as other pokémon joined the round, so it really looked similar to this:

sofia clapped a hand to her ear, but thankfully, moriarty wasn't damaged by the attack. ghost-type and all, remember?
"we're just getting started," said sofia, her smile warping into a smirk.
"shit, shit shitshitshit-" she winces as her pokemon is the only one to take all the hits. well. it wouldn't be the first time that she's put camus through all this bullshit. she'll just...have to remember to give him a pokepuff tomorrow.
eelektross faints.
karimi sends out braviary karimi studies the swalot this time (turn 1/2)

sofia's confidence is contagious. karimi smiles back. "yeah, we are!"
sofia's pokémon battered several swalot into submission before finishing them off with a dark pulse. moriarty was no simple gengar.
"c'mon!" sofia growled, slamming fist against fist as she sent out her milotic, irene, into the fray. it lashed out against more rising swalot; this was what she and her entire team had been waiting for. a good fight to further cull scourge numbers, and then a good day off resting and studying their carcasses.
hell yeah fighting scourge. having someone else alongside her was an added bonus.

karimi sends out her swampert and instructs him to move a little closer to the front in order to minimize the amount of danger that would come to the trainers.
"i'm sorry!" it seemed to be the fastest way. at least the levitating gengar might be alright (?)
swampert used earthquake on all combatants swampert used muddy water on all enemies braviary is unaffected by earthquake
"moriarty!" yelled sofia, and the gengar moved out of the way of the muddy water. its natural ability allowed it to avoid the earlier earthquake.
most of the scourge swalot fell prey to the attacks. sofia managed to capture one with a virus ball before it sank into the depths of the bog. her own milotic had fainted from the vicious attacks, and she recalled it before hopping unto karimi's swampert uninvited.
"sorry," she said, "you're going to have to make room for me." she attached the virus ball back onto her belt, and scribbled away on her notepad.
karimi didn't actually need to be riding the swampert. her braviary carries her over the chaotic bog.
"no, it's okay, i was the one who came up with this insane plan in the first place." she had always done what she believed needed to be done, but maybe she should have given sofia the chance to tell her that it was a bad idea. "hey leon, over there!"
the braviary finds what karimi is pointing at within seconds and swiftly nabs a deflated swalot in his beak. he had plenty of practice nabbing delicious magikarp in the spring. karimi takes a virus ball out of her bag and taps it against the scourge.
"haha, so uh. maybe i made a few dumb mistakes in there, but at least we won, right?"
(i think katya is going to change the whole vaccine kit thing soon...so id k whats at the end of this thread tbh)
