This world is inhabited by creatures that we call pokemon. People and pokemon live together by supporting each other, but now the scourge threatens the safety of the entire region. Kohaku has become a dangerous place, where children stay at home and only brave souls go adventuring.
Welcome to KOHAKU. Come for the nightmares. Stay for the tea and crumpets.
The season is SUMMER. It is easy for survivors to forage for food from the land, as there are entire abandoned farms ready for harvest. On the downside, you can smell the corpses.

physis had only two real requirements for any agent who wanted to go drinking with her in the dream world.
1) each person pays their own tab 2) take away the alcohol and wake physis up asap if a blond man with a half scarred face showed up. by force if necessary.
she sits down at the bar, glad that eifa had consented to both. the agent life is stressful, and she was probably long overdue for a few drinks.
It was a shame that Physis had Batin had such a history. She assumed that by the girl code that it made Batin untouchable, on the other hand Physis was damn hot. In that, brooding, dark, and mysterious kind of way. Kinda like that Fenris guy from that one video game she played.
She agreed to Physis' terms and conditions, but unlike others, she actually paid attention to these terms before sighing her soul signature away.
She greeted Physis when she made it to the bar with a wave and a wink. She sat down next to her. "Bartender, apple martini." She had no problem with ordering girly drinks, they tasted good.
"Hey dpllface, how's work? Did you order?" She called Physis petnames for the same reason she did to Azar, endearment. "How's the new partner?" toska
physis probably would have told her that any girl with standards wouldn't be fucking batin, but she can't really talk when she been banging his alter ego for nearly ten years now.
"white lady. unovan." she doesn't need a sinnoh brew to remind her of how shittily her last drinking adventure went. she watches the bartender mix her drink in silence. at least this time, her drinking partner isn't giving her a one hour lead.
it wasn't the first time that she had been called 'dollface', and it looked like it wouldn't be the last. fragile, malleable, people had called her. breakable whispers their subconscious. what most people forget is that broken dolls have the most vicious shards.
"tiring." she admits honestly. physis does not consider beating the shit out of eos trainers as a career, but she supposes that living is. living is her career, and the only way to live was to fight. "he manages. spring will be easier on all of us." foraging for food in the winter months is difficult, but that's physis' only real complaint. even then, it is outweighed by the strength of phillip's loyalty. "you?"
And her drink came, and she took a sip. "Winter's killing me, yeah, when everything melts it'll be a lot easier. I'm sure he's enjoying the snow though. I'm sure Azar can't wait for this snow to end."
"Won a few, lost a few." Deliah and that cutiepie Thalia were tough. She'd beat them though, eventually. She downed the rest of her martini and ordered another at the thought of facing her again. "Lets talk of happier things." toska
fantine liked the snow too, up till the day that she had died, but physis doesn't enjoy dwelling too long on that. she is handed her drink. she takes shallow sips.
"i'm not sure which stories are worth telling." the recent months only seemed to be disaster after disaster. that, and she had always counted on others to tell the happier stories. "unless you have a few."
"Darkrai set me up on one hell of date, I'll tell you. I got this Garnet girl, curator of the Feronia Museum She was really damn pretty though." She left out the part about saving the enemy's life. She wouldn't hide it though, Physis could as if she wanted.
"I don't know how many good damn stories I really know besides that one of late. Maybe we could do something other than talk?" The blonde winked. toska
physis thinks back to her day in the land of nightmares.
"i met an eos researcher." physis says after a pause. "...and tornadus. i convinced him to leave, though." she wasn't actually expecting the tornadus to comply, but she's not complaining.
she had no reason to turn eifa down. at the same time, she didn't have any reason to accept either. "...talk to me again after we meet on the battlefield." it wasn't a promise of anything, but it's a start. for the record, physis wasn't even sure of what eifa was proposing. a year of being removed from nerio can do that to a girl.
physis decides to strategically leave out the part where they were ambushed by a horde of scourge luvdic and their barrage of 'attract'. very strategically.
"nerio. bellona hills." it wasn't an answer that she would have given months ago. that was before physis had acknowledged the past as being of any importance. "you?"
For a moment, Eifa thought back to her childhood - to Iker, boys, her mom and dad - but it was gone as quick as it came. That was Meira, a girl that was long dead and gone. "Doesn't matter much. Bacchus is the place that the girl I used to be called home though." toska
this is why sophia had enjoyed the company of the scourge, isn't it? their stories are more similar than the ones that she could collect from the city on a good day. better to speak to monsters of the dream world than the demons of the real world. "i used to visit. irene's performances were worth the lines." she didn't particularly fault her for running away. that was her business. her ability, on the other hand, was absolutely real. GMOT ?
