the breeder's guild in juno is like nothing she's ever seen before. even though she knew about the lady mercedes beforehand, the building seems extravagant in her opinion. though, what was she to know about architecture? she majored in pokemon breeding, not engineering.

a quick note at the entrance to the guild, and then masami was directed towards where the lady mercedes supposedly was. the door was cracked open a few inches, so she simply rapped on the door a few times before pushing in all the way. "hello? i'm masami, and i was told to pick up my two pokemon here?"

"welcome. lady mercedes regrets that she is not able to see you today." truly, she did. the pokemon that she passes on to proteges were of no ordinary breeding stock. it would be of the greatest shame if the girl proved to be unworthy of them.

at the same time, sebastian is not here to pass judgement. that has already been done by mercedes, and the lady will not penalize a breeder on account of her own business.

"the eos gala is almost upon us. lady mercedes trusts that you will be able to pick suitable pokemon from the selection and represent the guild proudly."

...well, never let it be said that masami didn't know what she wanted. she pointed to two of the pokemon presented to her. "i'll take the braviary and the alakazam, please." at least those two were pokemon she could work with.
