stepping onto the scene, cyrus heard the sounds of songs playing all around the air and those dancing to the beat. cyrus wasn't really sure why he was here but the thought of being around the excitement made him want to stick around to see what sort of things might happen. he was lucky enough to find a decently good looking suit that he was able to afford without having to cut off an arm and leg for it. along with that cyrus had his yellow scarf wrapped around his neck slightly as it hung on his back. it was just one of those things that he couldn't be without no matter the event.

as he made his way through the crowds, he spotted the refreshments and quickly darted his way towards them. he took one of the cups of what he assumed was punch and he took a good sip of it "oh yeah that hit the spot" he licked his lips slightly to get some of the liquid off of his lips that had leaked out while he was drinking. cyrus turned around to face the dancers and the just sorta stood there wondering if he could perhaps find someone to do a little dancing with.

addi drifted through the dance floor, feeling a little out of her comfort zone. the dress felt too fancy for her, even the drink tasted like someone had juiced money into it. she stepped off to the side, tripping over her dress and high heels.

she was going down quick. oh gravity, you work fast.

cyrus had gotten himself another cup of some punch. he was just getting ready to take a sip of it before he noticed the female. "oh shit" she was going down as he dropped his cup and quickly run towards her. thankfully cyrus was able to get to her just in the nick of time, as he grabbed a hold of one of her arms as he tried helping her get on her feet again. a small smile formed on his face as he let go of her "are you alright?" cyrus probably shouldn't ask but he figured he ask just in case. well he did want some excitement and now he had got himself into some.

a growlithe came bounding over, nudging addi to try and see if she was okay. "ah, yeah." she stabilized herself, dusting off her dress. "i'm just a little clumsy, and this fancy dress isn't helping too much." addi turned to her savior and gave a glowing smile. "thank you for helping me. you- oh." she licked her thumb and dabbed at a bit of spilled drink on his shirt.

"can i get you a drink?"

well he was sorta glad that she was alright and nothing was seriously wrong. it was just a bad dress even though it did look pretty good on her. cyrus didn't even know that the drink had spilled on him and he just watched as she tried to clean some of off his dress shirt. he probably could use another drink and since she was asking he wouldn't pass up the opportunity "Sure, I couldn't pass up on since a kind offer." another smile formed on his face. he really hated to admit but even if she didn't like her dress she did look cute in it. cyrus figured since he was gonna spend some time here, he might as well see if she wanted to spend some of it with him.

"great!" she reached down for cyrus's hand, delicate fingers grasping the other's hand and leading him to the bar. "my name is addi." she began. the walk to the bar was short, but she still tried to make conversation. "and you?"

rondo trailed behind them, sniffing at cyrus's heels. "dont' mind him. that's rondo, my partner. i'm a ranger!"

cyrus didn't even have time to really react as he felt her hand take a hold of his. well his thoughts on asking her on tagging along with him were pretty much out the window now that she was leading him. oh well, he would roll with it and now he even knew her name. "addi, nice name." he would remember that name along with the nice set of assets she had. cyrus quickly glanced away as he heard her ask his name "cyrus" he replied to her as he felt the pokemon around his feet.

"Oh, a ranger, really?" he was genuinely surprised that someone like her would be a ranger. well everyone had their own chances when it came to picking jobs. still his 'job' wasn't all that great but at least it was better when that it was before the scourge. "I guess you can say that I am a trainer" cyrus didn't want to really go beyond this. if she only knew what kind of past he had, she probably wouldn't continue speaking with him.

the bar was open bar, thank god. or else no one would be able to afford a drink. "that's cool. you must be affiliated with eos to be here, so i would call it a job. i mean, everyone has a job nowadays." a small pang stabbed at her chest as she ordered a simple beer. "i'm from hespera originally. where are you from?"

she tried to keep the musical lilt out of her voice. her pitch fluctuated, but she managed for the most part. the beer wasn't delivered in the typical beer bottle, but was provided in a fancy crystal glass. addi laughed, and there was no keeping music out of that for her. "i would say your drink is on me, but... no one is really paying."

even though the bar was open were they gonna card anyone. from what cyrus could tell, it looked like anyone could really just come up and get a drink. he was still by law under the age to drink but he had spent a good time already drinking (which he could really blame his father for). anyways... cyrus nodded in agreement "yeah, nowadays you have to watch your every move regardless of were you go" he knew all too well about that as he could remember the times of his struggles in Nerio City. Speaking of which, it had been quite sometime since he left from Nerio. The last thing he could remember was it being taking over by the Scourge. it was a sad and miserable time for him but he didn't think of it for much longer as addi asked where he was from "Sol City" he lied but gave her a straight face. he was all to use to it by now but could he really continue to lie to such a pretty face as hers.

"well even if no one is paying, I'll still appreciate it" cyrus said ordering himself a beer and took hold of it as it came up to him "cheers" he rose his glass up before taking a drink.

"cheers." she smiled, taking a swig. she took interest then in cyrus, leaning forward in her seat. "sol! wow, that's a long way from here." she hmm'd under her breath. she hadn't heard much about sol, but what was known was famous to everyone. "the weather must be really nice there. isn't it like a resort city?"

it had once been her dream to sing in sol, or somewhere with a big audience. the hespera bars and clubs weren't the best places to be a singer, but the scourge had stopped that. addi looked down at rondo, smiling softly. "what is sol like? i've always wanted to been."

ah, how the beer tasted so good going down. he placed his fancy mug down on the table and looked at addi as she was all smiling "yeah, it's a pretty good hike even with all the scourge running a muk. actually I just got here a day again." he stated even though that was coming from Nerio if it had actually been from Sol it would have taken a few more extra walking days. cyrus had only heard of Sol through what his mother had told of him. nice, warm, and beautiful beaches. it was where his mother's birth place and she left it all after her scumbag of a father dragged her to Nerio and the rest was history.

"oh, yes! wonderful place to go if you want to get away from your troubles. Nice warm weather, beautiful beaches, plenty of tourists attractions. The whole works." he said all with a smile on his face.

"ahh.. that sounds beautiful." the mental picture of warm sand between her toes as a cool sea washed over her legs was lovely. she hated this cold, even if it was very slightly beginning to thaw out. "the walk must have been long though. i came here before everything began to go to hell, so passing through lake pax... wasn't as dangerous as it is today. i'm guessing you got a pokemon from cypress labs?"

the beer was at least nicely chilled as she knocked back the other half of her drink. addi nudged the glass to the bartender, who picked it up to refill it. she crossed her legs, leaning her head on one hand with the elbow on the bartop. she was a curious person, and the questions... may be relentless. though in the back of her head, she made sure to catch herself from asking a barrage more of questions.

since the bartender was picking up her drink, he rose up his mug as well and soon his drink was refilled. he was gonna need it if he was going to continue his little story telling session. however, he was really beginning to like being around addi. she seemed like a really nice girl and lying to her almost killed him to do it though he didn't want to let her in on the truth. he was really trying to keep himself discreet as he could. cyrus took a another small sip of his beer as he nodded "yeah, it's a really nice place to be even now with all the scourge going on" cyrus looked at his beer for a moment before taking another drink.

"I was able to get myself out of some seriously scourge infested areas. I still kinda surprised I made it out" he was still lucky to be able to live through it all.

he nodded as he put his glass down "mhmm, yeah I got myself one." he said as he called out his seedot that appeared down below him "yep, that's him. not best looking pokemon but he does have a purpose. always got to have a variety of pokemon whenever you get a good amount of them. Some for offensive, others for defensive, and your support group" cyrus looked back up at addi. he probably said too much and plus she was a ranger so she knew all the basic stuff. so he assumed.

well wasn't that cute. addi set down her glass and hopped off the bar stool, kneeling down (with some difficulty) and ran a hand across the seedot. "he's very cute. does he have a name?" rondo trotted over and gave the seedot a lick, paw up to play with it. "a widespread team is very important, i agree." she stood, watching rondo play with the seedot.

"they seem to be occupying themselves. would you care for a dance?" she asked as the song changed to a slower paced song. "i... fair warning. i don't know how to dance, really. honestly i'm a bit clumsy."

cyrus watched as she hopped down which he sorta eyed just in case she went to fall again. "no, I actually never given any thought on a name" he truly didn't think up a name of his newly aquired seedot. the thought never crossed his mind but maybe she would be kind enough to possible help him with that? If not then he would just come up with something along the way. the seedot felt rondo lick him which probably sealed the deal and the two were off playing together.

cyrus heard the tune change and now she was asking him to dance. he pretty much was waiting for this moment the entire night. cyrus hopped off his own seat and quickly took a hand "oh course, m'lady" he lightly kissed her hand as he took it among himself to cross her arm with his. "ah, don't worry. just follow my lead and you'll shall be fine" cyrus flashed another smile at her as they went towards the dance floor.
