The season is SUMMER. It is easy for survivors to forage for food from the land, as there are entire abandoned farms ready for harvest. On the downside, you can smell the corpses.

cyrus hadn't been in preserpina city long and he had just gotten himself something to eat. he was sorta just roaming around on the streets as he was walking along. he had been thinking about the little moment he had with that girl, addi. cyrus couldn't believe that he went through with it but the guy did. it was pretty amazing and crazy all at the same time. cyrus continued his little walk while thinking about her and what he might do while he was in the city.

on the park bench was where she lounged, rondo sleeping on her chest, built in pillows. she had simply been watching the clouds while she could, the day was sunny and she was still in a relatively safe area.
"rondo, don't you wish every day was like this?" she said softly, to which the growlithe merely snorted in his sleep. addi smiled, and began to sing.
cyrus was still just lost in thought till he heard the sound of singing. he glanced around wondering where that wonderful sound was coming from. cyrus started to move towards the sound in hopes that maybe just maybe it might have been addi. he remembered that she told him that she was a singer in the past and maybe if he was lucky enough he would get to see her again. not long after following the sound, he came upon her figure sitting down on a bench. he ran up to her with a smile on his face "why hello there ma'am" he looked down at her and her sleeping pokemon.

the voice was familiar, but it left her with a bitter aftertaste. rondo twitched a little, but addi just looked up. "oh." she frowned. "cyrus, is it? why are you here? maybe if i fall asleep you'll be gone again." bitterness was clear in her voice. "or maybe you can just fuck me and leave."
she had thought he was a nice guy. but even in juno and proserpina, nice gentlemen didn't exist.
cyrus probably should've excepted some of this because of how he just got up in the middle of the night and leaving there. it probably wasn't the best of ideas and in a really terrible way it reminded him of his father. cyrus wished that he didn't even wake up on her now. cyrus really didn't even want to try and fight with her. "well I was here just minding my business" cyrus sorta glanced away from her. he could tell that this conversation was gonna get south real fast, real quick "oh! so you think I really wanted to leave" cyrus felt a bit perturbed when she brought that up. he really didn't want to go but sticking around wasn't really a better opinion either. he just hope that this wouldn't destroy something so good.

she gave him a skeptical look. "well if you don't mind my asking, why did you leave?" addi ran a hand through rondo's fur, but he woke up. when the growlithe blearily looked around, he growled at cyrus, barking.
cyrus heard her question which only made him scratch the back of his head. he wasn't all that sure why he left her that night, it was just something he did. she really was a pretty good but if she knew the truth it would probably make things even more sour. cyrus sighed "this may sound dumb but I left before that other woman in there found us out...." it was pretty shitty lie even for him but if she knew that he left just because he wanted to well she probably send her little pokemon in her lap after him. "hey, let me make it up to you. anything, just ask and I'll do it" cyrus really wanted her to get her back on her good side.

"sa'di? sa'di wouldn't have cared." she sighed, cyrus wouldn't have known that. the growlithe still continued to growl though, and addi had to trust her partner. "i don't know. you could have at least told me you were leaving. or left a note."
rondo jumped down and attempted to bite cyrus's ankle. addi sat up, massaging her neck.
at this point, cyrus felt pretty stupid for even saying that. it was a pretty bad lie and he knew it. he wasn't even sure if he could manage to say anything to her. he sighed "I know..." it was all that he could really say before her pokemon jumped down and tried to take a bite at his leg. he jumped back at a bit as he tried to distance himself from it "okay okay, I can take a hint, just call off your attack dog" cyrus really didn't wanna have to fight her or her pokemon. though with all the commotion it caused his seedot to appear behind him "hey, what are you doing out?" he questioned it as it looked across over to the her pokemon.

addi pulled rondo back, calming him with a few strokes to his back. the growlithe still growled, but held back. "relaxing. it's a nice day out, i was hoping to sing in peace. why are you out?"
cyrus didn't wait long as he snatched up his seedot as she went to go collect her pokemon. a sigh escaped him as he picked up his seedot who was still wondering why her pokemon was being so mean all of sudden. "I was here going to make my way over to the gym and challenge the leader." cyrus replied back to her. the seedot whom he finally got around to naming, bandit was still wondering what was going on and looked up at cyrus giving him a slightly pitiful look. he really wanted to play with her pokemon again as it had a really good time when the first met.

the comment stung him pretty hard and just caused him to feel like a pretty big idiot. he only stood there in silence as she turned away. bandit gotten loose from cyrus's grip as he jumped down in front of him and gave him a serious look as he hopped up and down. another sigh escaped from him, he tried to say something but he guessed there was just nothing he could do it about. he was the one that pretty much screwed up.
bandit whom was still determined about the whole ordeal was hopping made that his trainer wouldn't go after her. "maybe I am just like my dad..." was he really saying that just now. the whole sentence tasted sour in his mouth. cyrus was just about to turn away from both seedot and addi. "maybe... but just maybe I could." cyrus stopped as he knew that she just had to give him another chance. there was always second chances in life and this was just something he had to try. turning around again to face her back, he ran up ahead of her still sorta keeping a good distance from her pokemon "addi, please listen. give me another chance, I promise I won't ditch you. please, you got to give me another chance" he begged.

it mildly bothered her that she couldn't stay angry at someone for a long time. she opened her mouth to speak, but rondo jumped first. he lunged at cyrus, barking and biting at his scarf.
"rondo!" that bite was dangerously near the throat. "get down. come back here."
cyrus felt like that just had to work and before he could really say anymore her pokemon had done the unthinkable. he was attacking his scarf and well him however he was more concerded about his scarf. "ahhh, hey! hey! get off my scarf!" he shouted as he struggled to keep the pokemon from causing further him to the scarf. it caused him to fall on the ground as the pokemon continued it's assult. bandit was hobbling down towards the res of the group hoping that nothing serious was going to happen.
