This world is inhabited by creatures that we call pokemon. People and pokemon live together by supporting each other, but now the scourge threatens the safety of the entire region. Kohaku has become a dangerous place, where children stay at home and only brave souls go adventuring.
Welcome to KOHAKU. Come for the nightmares. Stay for the tea and crumpets.
The season is SUMMER. It is easy for survivors to forage for food from the land, as there are entire abandoned farms ready for harvest. On the downside, you can smell the corpses.

grayson lumina. past hufflepuff probably. likely completed school at hogwarts, but then didn't go to the graduation ceremony because fuck that shit. probably runs an owlery in diagon alley, or is a dragon keeper. or both. something to do with creatures, for sure.
alex. previous ravenclaw, but sorting hat deliberated with slytherin. probably was extremely talented, especially with curses. very bookish, but also sociable. got into a lot of trouble, but was a good student anyway. flying colours on test scores. graduated and currently doing something with his life i have no idea. possibly a professor at hogwarts.
luke. likely a gryffindor graduate. not a great student, but also not a bad one. probably similar to the weasleys, always getting into trouble but never getting caught. was very good at quidditch, played a beater. probably is a quidditch player in profession now.
addi. definitely a gryffindor. always a very cheerful girl, humble and a relatively good student. tries hard. prefers music, but still tries at school. was always a favourite of the professors. probably works as a barkeep somewhere in diagon alley.
HERE is a list of wizarding jobs because i had to look it up too okay.
hufflepuff, slytherin, gryffindor, ravenclaw. the official housing quiz is here! what would your characters be like in harry potter!!!???
thalia de luca. the great hall waited for like, ten minutes as she sat under the sorting hat in silence, mentally bickering with it until she yanked it down over her head completely and yelled into the cloth just as it boomed out GRYFFINDOR. she's very good at DADA, natch. and equally natch is her untapped yet frightening potential to be good at regular ol' DA. she probably grows up to be an auror.
zahir brand. hufflepuff. twin brother of batin brand. at first everyone is shocked they're related. later, they aren't. probably drifts out of the magical world after graduation a bit, becomes a food critic in london.
batin brand. slytherin. zahir's twin brother, fond of saying poetic, cryptic things like "we must purge the flesh of impurity before advancing," but most people forgive him such because he also leaves out plates of fresh baked pastries in the common room. no one knows what career he picks up after graduation, but the truth is he's become an unspeakable.
ahuda. past gryffindor, but the hat gave her the choice of hufflepuff as well. tries hard in everything she does, probably excelled in transfiguration, arithmacy, and defense against the dark arts. often got in trouble for scuffles and fights that somehow ended up in exasperated professors handing out detentions left and right. probably works as an auror or dragon keeper, or something equally dangerous now.
raph. past ravenclaw. probably had been very, very interested in the magical creatures - excelled in it, most likely. very bookish, not really sociable; most people probably stayed the hell away from him. graduated with top marks in alchemy, study of ancient runes, and care of magical creatures. probably works as a professor in hogwarts or some other school or for the ministry.
katherine. goes by verte, in a mockery of her family name. ravenclaw graduate. probably a pureblood family kid. black sheep of the family. very good at what she put her mind to, which was pretty much everything. top of the class, was especially good at transfiguration and study of ancient runes. probably works as a professor or in an officals position in the ministry.
xavier. gryffindor graduate, but the sorting hat was really, really tempted to put him in ravenclaw. he should have been in that house, or even hufflepuff - he was ostracized for being so smart in gryffindor. favorite of the professors, but never really talked about his family. was prob very very good at defense against the dark arts. probably a wandmaker or something obscure and difficult like that now.
masami. hufflepuff. the hat was only one minute on her head when it yelled the house out. acquaintance of everyone, friend of none, and she graduated with marks that were impressive but not overly so. she probably owns a side shop for pet supplies, works as a dragon keeper, or a herbologist or dragonologist now.
eleanor. known as tamara in her particular group of friends. gryffindor, but there was a good five minutes of the hat debating before it yelled out the house. was good at everything she did, but she never really branched out outside of her small circle; she always spent meals at other houses' tables, to the teacher's chagrin. was a favorite of the professors, but not overly so; more like a fond type of relationship. she virtually disappeared off the map with only the odd correspondence, but she's become an unspeakable now.
stefan finley. if he has family, then he doesn't talk about them - and not just because he's a half blood in slytherin. excelled in potions, arithmancy, and ancient runes. later a prefect. not particularly sociable even among the slytherins, but strangely approachable as a student. probably works in the ministry of magic after graduation in something administrative.
sophia rosenburg, ravenclaw. muggleborn. almost quit hogwarts when she recieved owl that her brother had been killed by dark wizards, but preservered under the thought of revenge. excelled in most subjects, naturally, but especially in defense against the dark arts. spends a lot of time studying forbidden dark magic in the restricted section in order to learn how to fight them. becomes a top auror who attains her revenge, but plagued with constant ennui afterwards.
alia karimi, gryffindor. pureblood. wasn't naturally a genius, but she saw the world in her own way and pushed through with sheer stubborness. quick to defend younger students and fellow gryffindors, sometimes with fists. excelled in charms and care of magical creatures. probably becomes an independent academic who studies dangerous creatures all over the world.
iuppiter celcius. goes by J, of course. quiz said ravenclaw with a whopping 90%, which i agree that he has the potential for, but i'ma go with slytherin. pureblood. parents in azkaban, a student whom is considered good and smart but never seems to excel in grades. exceptional at transfiguration, comc and astronomy. likely to become an unspeakable or an auror. actually would have attended durmstrang if it wasn't for the azkaban incident, after which he was placed in the care of a family friend.
iskander eltanin. ravenclaw, by virtue of his lineage. pureblood. in a parallel of the brand twins, everyone is shocked and not shocked upon realizing he's not related to J. favorite subjects: arithmancy and ancient runes. graduates and becomes an accredited arithmancer, ends up doing nothing in his ancient family home. the ministry did pressure him to join their ranks as his family members have done in the past, though. for now he just chills with his butler and house elf.
ikram ayyubi. gryffindor, apparently, because according to the quiz she is 200% not the other houses. maybe she isn't a hogwarts student. pureblood? star beater of her house's quidditch team. excels at potions and charms. had the opportunity to play for a league team after her graduation, but she declined the offer and opted for a career as a curse-breaker instead.
kazimir, gryffindor. the sorting hat bumbled on about being suited for hufflepuff but not being able to withstand the cheeriness. muggle-born, but rather reserved about it, and rightfully so. he doesn't like to take shit for his heritage, but he doesn't go around telling people. he attended as an obligation, finding his biggest interest to be in dada, because safety first. by his 7th year, he was pretty much checked out. still managed to pass his OWLS, but afterwards, kaz took up a job as a bartender in hogsmeade to make a living.
abraham, ravenclaw. fell in love with everything about hogwarts his first year, got deemed as "the annoying kid" but still strived for excellence. as a pureblood child of a potions master at beauxbatons, abraham naturally embraced his love for the class and excelled in it. became a prefect, and later, the head boy. kind of a cross between hermoine and percy, now that i think about it. after hogwarts he went to the ministry of magic, taking up a highly-coveted position as a potioneer.
jayden pierce, slytherin. muggleborn, adopted into a pureblood family at a very young age. not pleasant to be around or sociable, despises his own heritage but hates those that take theirs for granted more. didn't have a favored subject in school, sacrificed most of his social life to claw his way to the top and stay there. incredibly high ambitions, harbors an unhealthy desire to carve a legend for himself in history. excelled in arithmancy and defense against dark arts, something he studied in order to protect someone close to him. generally a bitter, loner sort that doesn't have any friends and is okay with that. after graduating, most likely became either an auror or a curse breaker.
lacey ariane, gryffindor. friends with most people in her house (and some outside), but actually likes very few. an average student at hogwarts in all subjects, mainly because she managed to get advice(answers) from the smarter students that she's friends with. the only subject she actually held an interest in was care of magical creatures, which she excelled in. pureblood, believes just about everything other people tell her. most likely a dragonologist attempting to educate other people on how to properly respect all magical creatures alike.
ethan caverly, ravenclaw. half-blood, his brother was taken away at birth and ethan grew up with the idea that he'd died, most likely because of the extra burden placed on the family. grew to blame himself for his brother's supposed death and, as a result, has a very low opinion of himself that he prefers to hide. excelled in most subjects, did especially well in transfiguration and divination: when he became of age, apparition. there were rumors that he studied forbidden dark arts in his free time, but it was never truly confirmed. has a strange fixation on the non-living, sometimes experiences dramatic personality switches/mood swings. he most likely became an unspeakable, preferring to shut himself away from the world for its own good.
"into the darkness they go, the wise and the lovely."
