A defeatist prone to giving up at any setback. Prone to putting on conceited airs to hide her insecurities. history As the child of two archaeologists, Samantha was never in a consistent home environment.  She was constantly dragged from town to town, from region to region, as her parents roamed in search of various ruins. She never really got along well with the other kids at school, justifying away her social anxieties by saying she'd never see them again after a year or two anyway. She was a rather passive participant in her own life, growing a bitter acceptance for the constant moving, awkward social situations, and parental pressures she had to endure.  Instead she retreated to books, writing, and art.  For much of her life, they were her best and only friends. When the Scourge hit her parents became even more busy than before.  Her father went underground to try and help keep order, only leaving to make supply runs.  Her mother travelled to the Somnus Ruins, seeking to deepen her understanding of Pokemon and hone her training skills. Samantha didn't want to follow any of them.  For once she wanted to make her own decisions, and that meant running away from home to join EOS.  With the knowledge drilled into her from years of harsh schooling, research seemed like a natural progression.  It always seemed so enjoyable when not forced down her throat. ooc face claim: ACE ATTORNEY, Myriam Scuttlebutt
