This world is inhabited by creatures that we call pokemon. People and pokemon live together by supporting each other, but now the scourge threatens the safety of the entire region. Kohaku has become a dangerous place, where children stay at home and only brave souls go adventuring.
Welcome to KOHAKU. Come for the nightmares. Stay for the tea and crumpets.
The season is SUMMER. It is easy for survivors to forage for food from the land, as there are entire abandoned farms ready for harvest. On the downside, you can smell the corpses.

"Yeah, be careful when you're out and around. Nerio City should be safe enough, but if you can help it, don't wander outside the fences without one of Delilah's Pokémon okay? Or when I get there, don't wander outside the borders without your own Pokémon.
I'll have to find out what she feeds them. It could just be her though. She's always... had a lot of energy. It's not a bad thing though. It's a good thing.
You were right. I shouldn't have attempted to peek into her drawers. Delilah caught me and hung me out to dry, almost literally, before it started to rain outside and she decided to spare me a cold. I got lucky!
Is it raining where you are, too? I'm a little worried about sending this pidgey out into the rain like this; it might catch something, if pokémon had fevers and coughs like we do. I'll send this tomorrow.
Don't say I didn't warn you! Though Delilah wouldn't leave you out for very long. Arguable when it comes to me. I'll use the big brother card, though that probably wouldn't work either.
It's raining a little here, but I've made it to Di Manes. The rain won't get me here. It's dark, but with Flavius and a new friend I made, they'll light the way for me. I had a dream about befriending a Slugma, and when I woke up, the same Pokémon was curled up next to me. It's a little strange, being able to meet Pokémon in dreams and bring them to the real world, isn't it?
"I asked. I think she said something about screwing you up, or making you watch reruns of a sudowoodo beauty contest.
How strange! Was it a dream, or was it real? How did you manage to bring it back from your own dream? That's just odd, but so interesting! I'd like to try that, just once though. I think it should be really friendly, unless you're having a nightmare.
I suppose that would be just as bad as leaving me out to dry, wouldn't it? And, I swear that it was a dream, but the mind can play tricks on a person.
I have a question for you, Isaac. I bumped into Delilah in Di Manes. She says you've got your own Pokémon, and that you've been away from Nerio. Is this true?
