His parents luckily found him before he froze to death. His mother was no where in sight, or so his parents told him. His parents were young, they were in their late teens, the kind of lovebird couple that would only do double battles. You know, the kind that everyone seemed to dislike because they were constantly in each others' arms, yeah well those were Xylon's parents. They didn't change while Xylon grew up, though they were rather loving parents. Due to constant travel. Xy didn't really have a human friend his age growing up, but he did have an Oddish that followed him around, it wasn't even his. It used to follow the little pack of humans throughout the region, through the darkest caves, the snowiest forests, and the highest peaks. One day, it just disappeared. Xylon has no idea where it went, and an Oddish to this day, is the one thing that can pull little pathetic sniffles. His parents found that he was mature enough to wonder off on his own when he was about thirteen years old. There was no place in Kohaku in which he hadn't been in his lifetime, except maybe Somnus Ruins, and that's where he wanted to go. He heard rumors that that the water in some sort of pool could help someone see into the past, he also heard that the Pokemon were the fiercest in the region, which swayed him to take up Pokemon training. His goals became twisted when he finally made to Nerio City, when he was around sixteen, he became involved with the worst kinds of people. He became a messenger boy for all types of disgusting creatures. Eventually he went up from messenger boy, to some sort of grunt. His job was to take out targets, which he could never really bring himself to do. He'd pass on word that they were dead, meanwhile he'd beat the shit out of them and then escorted them somewhere where they'd be safe. The scourge was when things got rough for Xylon, though originally he really had no interest in it. He just had to pass through infected areas to get things done, and he probably knew trails better than any pokemon - he was cocky, but all it took for his prized Steelix to turn was just a whiff of the air. He didn't think the virus was in air, and he certainly didn't think that it could turn Pokemon as quick as it did. Like an idiot, he sent out his whole team to fight his Steelix off, it was his strongest Pokemon after all, and they all turned and eventually they turned on him. He was lucky to escape with his life. Xylon was eventually scouted out by a man whose life he spared.
