The season is SUMMER. It is easy for survivors to forage for food from the land, as there are entire abandoned farms ready for harvest. On the downside, you can smell the corpses.

Nix frowned as she watched poko slow down and then the attack came down on her hard again, she couldnt take another hit. Even now she stumbled about and shook herself merely to keep going, "Not any more" nix said simply in a voice worried for her pokemon. She lifted a hand and clicked the pokemon's pokeball, though she swapped it in her hand and picked up Minx's to set her out. The little pokemon dropped to the ground and then looked forwards at mimi battling ahead of her, time for her to get ready to fight too. Mimi managed to avoid the attack that came for her however and she turned and threw her own back at the bigger pokemon again, ignoring the one that was trying to work her down. Seemed mimi knew what nix was going to say before she even got to say it!

grayson paused. she switched to another pokemon, and the only other pokemon he had fit for battling would completely decimate her pokemon. visk looked surprised too, and turned to look back at his trainer. "well, i think i might call it. i don't want visk or mile to get injured here. as well, if we turn this into a three on three, or anything more, my other pokemon are too strong for you." grayson returned visk and mile to their pokeballs. "you can consider this your victory. congrats." fluke returned to her pokeball as well.
ionis rose to his feet slowly, limbs pained. he made his way to his trainer's side, who gently ran his fingers across the gogoat's head. "steady there, old fella. no rush. we can go home and check on your bandages."
Nix stood stunned as the male spoke, her pokemon looked back at her with the same look covering their faces. She looked at her two girls before looking over to him and then she nodded and bowed her head, "well, alright. Thank you for the experience" she said with a little smile. She watched as he reached out to his pokemon and she felt her heart give a littler, as much as he seemed to be negative before it may have only been a mood. he had been kind enough to battle with her and now seemed most caring for his pokemon, not a bad person all in all it seemed. The girls seemed to work out the battle was over and both relaxed, though mimi's eyes shot to the water in moments and she started to inch towards a hole in the ice

"well then." without another word, grayson walked away, a hand light on ionis's back. the other, he gave a brief wave facing away, and then for all purposes he was done with her.
Nix reached her hand out to minx who turned to her with a little frown, unhappy she hadn't been able to battle most likely. Nix merely smiled at her and stroked the girls head before she whistled to mimi, who's tail had just reached the water. The little pink pokemon gave a sigh and moved to her trainer, just as nix herself stood to talk again to the male. He spoke again, though shortly. And then that seemed to be it, he was up and walking away. She moved to walk after and then paused as he waved to her, she had no need to follow him. Sure meeting him had been good but she needed to see what life held next for her, time to get going!
