This world is inhabited by creatures that we call pokemon. People and pokemon live together by supporting each other, but now the scourge threatens the safety of the entire region. Kohaku has become a dangerous place, where children stay at home and only brave souls go adventuring.
Welcome to KOHAKU. Come for the nightmares. Stay for the tea and crumpets.
The season is SUMMER. It is easy for survivors to forage for food from the land, as there are entire abandoned farms ready for harvest. On the downside, you can smell the corpses.

Heal decided it was time to relax for the first time in a long time. Though, relaxing for her was different than relaxing for others. She climbed the tree, moving through the branches with ease. Cypress followed her up, flying fairly close to his trainer. He seemed worried, but Helvetica disregarded his concern.
Maybe she should have paid attention to his concern. She slipped, but luckily enough, she was nimble and flexible, and this was the dream world. She grabbed a branch, stopping her fall.
It did however, do the opposite of relaxing her. She climbed down, during which Cypress gave her the kind of 'I told you so' look.
When she reached the bottom, she noticed something that he held in his claws. "Can I see, Cypress?"

It wasn't exactly surprising that Xylon took solace in nature, being a ranger and all. He sat underneath the tree's shade, staring up, admiring how huge it really was. He could sit here for hours, days, months, and maybe even years. There was something bewitching about this place to Xy. Tinkerbell had cured up in his lap a bit before, and had already fallen asleep. Xy, in a rare act of affection, patted Tink's head.
"Stupid little thing." He muttered. He did however trust Tinkerbell - with his life - more than he had ever trusted his old team. Was this the power of being a ranger? Strange.
Something shiny caught his eye, he'd find out what it was in a while... in maybe in five minutes, he just wanted to rest his eyes. Unknown to him, or even Tinkerbell, that five minutes turned into two hours.
