The season is SUMMER. It is easy for survivors to forage for food from the land, as there are entire abandoned farms ready for harvest. On the downside, you can smell the corpses.

She doesn't speak to the other two EOS member. She doesn't know if she could if she wanted to. Tunnel vision has always been her bane and her boon. All she sees is the fight, and all she can do is whatever she has to do to win, regardless of what it takes. When it's over, she'll do what she can for them. And it will be over.
Thalia has nothing left to say to Alex, not here. She supposes that after their last encounter, he knew what it would be the next time she saw him outside of the Dream World. Monsters never have mercy for their reflections.

what does physis feel for him? physis feels nothing, cares for nothing. there are times when another heart beats in her chest, however.
the field of battle is not one of those conductive times.

He couldn't take his eyes away from the battle. Something about the woman who battled for him commanded his attention, that not even the arrival of another agent could distract him. The masked woman and the blue-haired man seemed well-matched to her, but the Eos trainer seemed to have the experience behind her that was enough to take them both on. Kaz felt himself relax. He glanced over at Ahuda, looking for some kind of indication as to who the woman was. Kaz wanted desperately to apologize for the Politoed, but his words failed him. He looked on at her for another moment before his attention returned to the battle before him. nette
Ahuda doesn't move, doesn't scream in frustration or cry out in anger. She stands still, like a statue, keeping vigil over this battle that neither she nor Kaz can help in. They've done their part, and fallen short - now it was for someone else to take charge. She could only cheer Thalia on, seemingly like a one-woman army; "Come on," she whispered, under her breath, a slight word on the breeze. Ahuda tightens her grip on her politoed, even as she feels its solid weight in her arms and Madonna's warm presence in her pokeball.
Wait. Shouldn't Lyre have turned scourge by now, as exposed to the scourge and without a vaccine as he had been?
...Ahuda decides not to look a gift horse in the mouth, and continues her vigil.
...and remembers that she is a ranger and has a styler. That can draw signs.
...she's feeling rather like an idiot at the moment, and takes the time to draw a water - whirlpool at the gengar.

Thalia watched Ahuda draw the sign with alarm. Neither of the agents seemed to turn on the girl, thankfully, but Thalia redoubled her attention on the battle regardless. She wouldn't let either of them be hurt.
Eevee and tyranitar were not the strongest of Thalia's pokemon, but they were enjoying the battle. Their blood sang; they shrugged off the attacks that came their way and emerged with claws and fangs gleaming.
We will free you, brother, the eevee cried to the gengar. It will end soon.

Kaz found himself lost in thought as he watched, zoning out a bit. There was a strange tension between the Eos woman and the agents. Kaz got the sense that this wasn't the first time she'd seen either of them.
"Shit." he whispered, seeing the masked one turn her attention to Ahuda, launching a trail of glimmering, white ice at the Ranger. Arceus gave Kaz the good sense to hit the deck -- he was no hero. nette
Swearing Ahuda lunges out of the way of the ice beam, tucking in her precious cargo against herself as she does so. When she rolls to her feet it's without her politoed - she set him down carefully to the side, to keep him out of the rest of this battle - and with concentration drew a rock - rock slide at the mamoswine this time. At least she trying to be of some help in this battle, even without pokemon.
Staying safe, though, was another matter entirely.

The female agent drew a sign on Ahuda. Thalia's two pokemon fainted. It was a series of events, and Thalia reacted. The kid gloves came off.
She should have never had them on, she knew. But in front of Ahuda and this other EOS recruit she hadn't wanted--it didn't matter now.
At least Ahuda hadn't been hurt. Still--
"You're going to regret that," Thalia told the woman calmly, though her mind was a maelstrom of rage. "You should stick to picking on people your own size. Good life lesson."
tyranitar fainted. eevee fainted.

if physis was going to take any life lessons at all, she certainly wouldn't be taking them from thalia. her arrogance is off putting at best.
she draws the psychic sign to teleport away from the blast radius - and right at ahuda's side, making an attempted grab for the arm that supported ahuda's capture styler. she draws regirock - stone edge at the dragonite with her own styler arm.
she cares little for whether ahuda loses a weapon or an arm. it is an arm that attempts to threaten her existence. that is all that she needs to know.

He was indecisive, he was self-centered, and he didn't care. Ahuda and him, they were of different breeds. She put her life on the line to help, but he was content with just surviving. And yet, despite his flaws, he stayed for the fight and had gotten his ass kicked. It was a curious thought.
The pink-haired girl continued to fight, Ahuda dodged, and the crazier of the two also combated the pink-haired trainer. Still, the woman who'd attacked him first, was set on Ahuda. Kaz watched as she drew what he understood to be another sign, disappearing and reappearing at the side his Ranger friend. Taken aback was an understatement, but still, Kaz found himself lunging toward her in an attempt to cut things off. There wasn't really a game plan. He reached for her other arm. nette
...okay, that really wasn't what Ahuda had been hoping to happen. "Fuck" is all she manages to get out before the agent is moving for her styler arm, and Kaz her other. She tightens her hold on her styler and lets him pull her away, attempting to kick the woman back as they both stumble from velocity.

Thankfully it seems as if Kaz's speed or force was large enough, because they're now at a distance from the attacking agent. Ahuda breathes, in and out, hand still clenched on her styler. "Thanks," she manages to her trainer friend, and straightens - the agent is close now, too close for her comfort, and they both need to be prepared to react.
alex was surprised when he saw thalia appear. what seemed like a stab of sorrow fell through his heart. "no, i suppose i can't."
