If there was one thing about Proserpina that Aiden was certain of, it was that there was water everywhere. Water at the docks, water surrounding the warehouse - even when he took a stroll to get himself familiar with the city, the sounds of waves crashing on shore was forever present.
Here, Marill felt most at home, it seemed. The pokemon hopped in circles around him, blue tail bouncing up and down with giddy anticipation close to that of a child. Sometimes, it bounced too high and landed on its back, flailing its limbs around before using its tail as leverage to get back to its feet. Aiden laughed along with it, but couldn't help but get distracted by his own thoughts of things far past (or perhaps the near future, as well).
He accidentally stepped on Marill's tail, and the pokemon looked up indignantly. "Sorry." Aiden apologized, tugging at his hair sheepishly before resuming his slow, steady walk.

It seemed like today was destined to be a normal day. Taryn didn’t mind, though. She was starting to enjoy the slowness of her journey. Her Pokemon were gradually getting stronger, so she’d eventually get to challenge the gym. In the meantime, she thought she was getting to know the city rather well. It was a nice, relaxing place, and she thought she wouldn’t mind having a permanent home here if only she wasn’t so attached to her hometown. Her family and most of her friends still lived in Juno, and she intended to return there someday far in the future. The trainer was wandering aimlessly like she tended to do when she was unsure how to spend her day. Like always, Cirrus – her Swablu – was perched on her head. She spent more time there than anywhere else, at least when she wasn’t resting in her pokeball. It was getting to the point where it felt weird if the Pokemon wasn’t perched on her. Taryn couldn’t decide if that was a good or bad thing. She had accepted it as one of the Swablu’s perks and left it at that for now. She did love the Pokemon, even if it did act a little weird at times. As she walked, a Pokemon and human caught her attention. It was a boy close to her age accompanied by a Marill. Another trainer, like her? Or was he taking one of the other Pokemon-related career paths? Either way,it never hurt to try and make another friend. “Hey!” Taryn waved at the boy as she approached. “Mind if I join you for a bit, or are you busy?” battle
