This world is inhabited by creatures that we call pokemon. People and pokemon live together by supporting each other, but now the scourge threatens the safety of the entire region. Kohaku has become a dangerous place, where children stay at home and only brave souls go adventuring.
Welcome to KOHAKU. Come for the nightmares. Stay for the tea and crumpets.
The season is SUMMER. It is easy for survivors to forage for food from the land, as there are entire abandoned farms ready for harvest. On the downside, you can smell the corpses.

He came back to Ceres to defend this damn glade, didn't he?
The water was nice. His vaccinated vesiquen and Tinkerbell sat by his side as they waited for some threat. The sound of her wings were the only noise made from the three.
Ceres forest made him nervous. Amber glade made him nervous, too. Word about a hades agent's demise here had traveled fast - curiosity was why he even chose to visit in the first place, to see the water's toxins at work was to gain experience for future endeavors. Despite the strong bouts of dislike that he felt for Azazel at times, it was discerning to picture the Spiritomb's body burning in the well, never to be seen again. Death for the scourge would not be quick, he knew. They deserved more than that, more for all the pain and suffering and misery they caused in the already miserable world.
Ethan stood to the side of the well and stared at what looked like water. Although the Spiritomb wasn't around, he could imagine Azazel in the bushes, struggling not to giggle at his stupidity. "...The water is nice." He commented to the man he had seen but chose not to acknowledge, staring at his own reflection like it was a puddle of toxic waste.
"I'd bathe in it if I could." He wanted a bath, but then again, he wanted a lot of things that he didn't think were going to happen anytime soon. Xylon sighed. "And you are?" He leaned over, and placed his chin in his hands. He wasn't suspicious of the boy - not anymore than he was suspicious of everyone else - he was just on guard duty, and he knew anyone could honestly be harboring the scourge.
It was a scary thought, he had to admit. Tinkerbell, soon tried to breathe, his chest not nearly making the same impression as it was before.
Something inside of him curled up in disgust. On the outside, he gave a bright smile, laughing a little at the funny gothorita. "I'm Aiden. Are you sure it's safe to go bathing in this? Restrictions aside."
He tilted his head at the vespiquen, then looked at the man, trying to gauge his strength level. "EOS, right? Are you a trainer?" Behind them, the leaves trembled slightly. Aiden rocked back and forth on his heels, wondering when Azazel would get bored and demand to play, like it always did.
"Why don't you test the waters? You could tell me." He responded. He knew well enough that it burned and even killed agents.
"Just a humble ranger, doing his best to protect the forest. What about it?" As he sized him up, Xylon did the same. He figured if need be, he could flail on this kid with his fists and he'd go right down. citrus
"No way." Aiden frowned, staring at the water's surface briefly before his gaze flickered to the man and stayed there, this time. "You just said you can't bathe in it. I'm not gonna get in trouble because of some rule I don't know about, or whatever."
He shrugged his shoulders. "I dunno, I was kind of curious, is all. Do you have a name? I told you mine and everything." Aiden rocked back and forth on his heels and looked at the sky, his gaze practically screaming 'unfair' the entire time.
