Di Manes Caverns was originally a holy burial ground for Kohaku's champions, and it still serves that purpose even if its surface passages are now widely traveled. Deep underneath the main passageway, Di Manes Gym houses an old order of pokemon trainers that dedicated their entire lives to guarding the bodies of long-dead champions. While the gym is well-lit for visitors, these trainers prefer to battle in pitch darkness.

Winding caverns open up to Avernus, an underground lake that even boasts drinkable water. Survivors from Nerio fled to Avernus, turning it into the world's most poorly lit refugee camp. There used to be more refugees arriving every day, but now it's slowed down to a trickle. On one hand, fewer mouths to feed is good. On the other, people have lost hope that they'll ever see their missing family and friends ever again.

REQUIRES STRENGTH TO ACCESS - The Vulcan Depths are the deepest point of Di Manes Caverns. There's a mine shaft that'll take you halfway there, but then you'll have to walk a good hour or more before you reach the fiery pits below. There's an anvil and a forge in the heart of depths, but you'll have to get past the Masons and their underground coliseums to get there.

The wealthiest denizens of Kohaku rest in these Catacombs with priceless relics and unfathomable gold, but to take anything is to invite misfortune and the fury of the restless dead. Aspiring grave robbers can steal a fortune if they're willing to suffer a slow, agonizing death. Those that wander the catacombs in reverence of the past or simply to pay their respects may wander about safely, but not necessary unaccompanied.

Originally used as a sepulcher for the rich and elite of Kohaku, Di Manes Caverns is a cave with rich minerals and precious stones all along the cave walls. A winding, claustrophobic tunnel (long since stripped of visible gold and gems) leads travelers through to the other side. Mining and theft are heavily discouraged by the trainers and leader of the Di Manes Gym, located in the deepest depths of the caverns.
