"my lady." he gestures to a table for two with a red table cloth, long red candles lit on either side of a vase of roses. alex pulls out one chair for tamara to sit, taking the other seat.
he acts like a proper gentleman (not like he was) and tamara finds herself smiling. "thank you." the candles create a lovely sort of mood, and she breathes in the scent - a light lemon, perfect for such an evening.
"i'd love to," she says with a smile. "surprise me?"

she takes a sip. it's surprisingly good, and she smiles. "champagne is always good," she replies, and then pauses.
it's been a long while since she's been asked to make choices for dinner, even appetizers. with chagrin she finds herself materializing menus, setting one down for alex even as she opens hers. "i think i'll have the apple zucchini crostini. you? or we could share." she adds the last part with a shy grin. the flirtatious ease that she had momentarily as eleanor, she slips back into easily.

"why of course. i believe... hm." he thinks for a moment. "perhaps a nice fettuccine alfredo for me, with grilled chicken diced." with that, he summons a steaming hot dish, but just cooled enough to eat without burning the tongue.
"have you had your partner togepi for long?" he asks, forming a napkin over his lap and cutlery for himself and tamara.
"then i think i'll have the fettucine alfredo." the food materializes out of thin air onto the table, and tamara smiles at alex. she seems to be smiling a lot with him.
(it's a nice change.)
"not really. we only met after the virus accepted us both - i found her wandering the halls of pax institute one day. what about your gengar? has he been with you long?"
