This world is inhabited by creatures that we call pokemon. People and pokemon live together by supporting each other, but now the scourge threatens the safety of the entire region. Kohaku has become a dangerous place, where children stay at home and only brave souls go adventuring.
Welcome to KOHAKU. Come for the nightmares. Stay for the tea and crumpets.
The season is SUMMER. It is easy for survivors to forage for food from the land, as there are entire abandoned farms ready for harvest. On the downside, you can smell the corpses.

The first victory made him confident, should've made him confident, at least. What he failed to understand was the growing feeling of suspicion in its place, evolving and encompassing to mask over the dull pressure of dread that long since settled in the pit of his stomach. Too dark, stifling, bacchus gym was many things that he didn't like. Jayden put a hand over his mouth and scowled, swearing quietly about the inhumane amount of dust that'd gathered from such a long period of disuse.
Last time, he had xatu out, a form of protection, comfort, security. This time, instinct warned him against it, and instead, he kept the spheres in his pockets and rested his finger on one in particular, rolling it between his forefinger and thumb.
@mod, a scourge battle or agent, preferably one jayden hasn't met yet, thanks!
"into the darkness they go, the wise and the lovely."

it's amazing, how many eos are here, scrambling around bacchus as they struggle to recover the gym and the town and how they try to take it back and it makes tamara sick.
they care only after they're given a ray of hope. after they are pushed and prodded and cajoled into it.
(they don't care about pax, and if they did, they certainly didn't care in time)
tamara is leaning against a pillar and frowning under her visored helmet, with its visor down and concealing her eyes. she'd found it in sol, and it's certainly coming in handy now.
from her place hidden from the eos, she calls out. "you shouldn't be here. it's dangerous."
the helmet provides spectacular acoustics. tamara has no doubt that he'll hear her from where she stands.
He hears a voice - a girl's, echoing in more ways than simply bacchus gym can create. If it was him of six months ago, he would've scowled, thought of her, shouted some choice words into the darkness and gloom and dust. As it stands, he's still plenty irritated as it is, scowls just the same. The pokeballs in his pocket wobble furiously, knocking against each other in a mixture of eager anticipation and tension. Jayden ignores them, every single one of them, but only for the time being.
"And you should?" He can't see her, but it doesn't matter. Doesn't matter who she is, where she's come from, or who's side she's on. All that matters in the world they currently live in is strength. Strength is everything. Strength is power, authority, ability. And he wonders - does she have the strength to say such things? If she does, what gives her that strength?

"i'll be perfectly fine. you, however - there are dangerous things that lurk here, you know. you should be more careful."
theia drifts down, in front of the eos. she winks and waves cheerfully at him. whether or not he'll attack is a matter she seemingly doesn't care about, but within the shadows tamara slides out her styler in preparation.
