This world is inhabited by creatures that we call pokemon. People and pokemon live together by supporting each other, but now the scourge threatens the safety of the entire region. Kohaku has become a dangerous place, where children stay at home and only brave souls go adventuring.
Welcome to KOHAKU. Come for the nightmares. Stay for the tea and crumpets.
The season is SUMMER. It is easy for survivors to forage for food from the land, as there are entire abandoned farms ready for harvest. On the downside, you can smell the corpses.

Meet MORDECAI DELACROIX. Born and raised in Bacchus town with a younger sister and brother, Mordecai left after failing to escort his parents to Nerio City. He's kind of mild-mannered, relatively easy to get along with. Contemplative and a nurturer, he tries to avoid conflict if possible. He has a few regrets in his twenty-five years, but life is life. Really, that's all he wants to do: live and let live. He's up to Sol City at the moment, and while he should probably be focused on stomping things in Land of Nightmares, he mostly just floats around.
Here's AARON SIDERIS, Hades Agent. He was a systems and database analyst at Pax Institute. He finds a lot of people incompetent, including Eos itself, but he'll steer away from violence if possible. He hates wasting time, but is ironically fine with smalltalk. He was romantically involved with a woman at Pax Institute, current Eos member unknown to him. He's mostly jaded with the world and is often seen with Iskander, accompanied by a Scourge Porygon-Z. Currently, he is out gathering intel along with reconnecting with the other Agents after the time-skip.
There's also MIKAEL ROGERS, a new ranger that's off to start a new journey. Born and raised in Nerio City, he grew up in the slums even when he still had parents. He had a sister, now dead, along with connections to a particular ragtag group of kids who frequently participated in various heists to keep themselves fed. While he understands the importance of teamwork, he prefers to lone wolf most things. Probably cries quietly often when people aren't looking. He's a hard worker and a terrible liar.
stefan here is kind of grumpy like 95% of the time but mordecai can baby him if he wants. he'd kind of on a wild javert chase through the entire region for the brother that he hates simply because his parents told him so. yeah, stefan might need a guy to be there to talk some sense into him. every now and then. not that it'll stop him, but yeah
A bit of blind leading the blind. Mordecai can lend a word to Stefan when he needs to. Funny thing, he has his own problems with his siblings too, though I don't see why he wouldn't act as a senior to Stefan. In fact, he probably would. He's kind of mellow but genuinely tries to make others smile.
Yeah, I... need to take time to actually train a lot of my Pokémon, but right now it's just GOTTA COLLECT 'EM ALL.
I'm up for a really casual thread if you're looking for extra Pokémon to research?
(Yes, I'm essentially torn between getting new Pokémon and training them so that they can learn new moves. That way I can breed Pokémon with better move sets.)
;____; zulf why do you still doubt my love at this point
lol at least they can agree that adventures aren't for dumb kids who can't take care of themselves. plzu start a thread for me zulf bc i'm trying to reply to hook's thread
@ Toska: Er, you see, I forgot that I owe a month's worth of practice logs that i am now fudging, but if I have time, I'll try to start a thread. But yeah, Mordecai understands how important family can be, so he'd try to help if he could.
@ Blue: The posts... don't have to be long. /brick If you could, that would be wonderful.
@ Toska: I never write practice logs. It's tedious, and never in 13+ years have I had to write it all down, okay. But er, now that I think about it, I don't know how long a thread between the two of them would last before my muse ran out. orz
@ Vertigo: You know, I think that it'd be fun to have a thread somewhere for the two of them to send Pidgey mail back and forth. Where do you think we could put that? vertigo
