ATTACK ON CERES
The scourge are here. They first attached Nerio, pushed into the city, devoured it, before they were sent home with a stomachache. They delved deep into Di Manes, surfacing only to be sent back to whence they came. Now, they appear in Ceres. Where did they come from? How did they get here? What will happen to the Amberwell? The rangers set up in Juturna are in arms. Olivia has drawn her blade to defend the Amberwell. Proserpina rises to defend their city and their forest. Despite all their efforts, in the end, it's up to Eos to save Ceres from the scourge. - There will be one open scourge [event] thread in each subboard in Ceres Forest. These will be designed for one low-level character each. If you bring more, the number of scourge enemies will increase.
- There will be as many open battle threads made by (hopefully low-level) hades agents as there are interested agents. Hades agents will scale down in level to match their opponent.
- If you lose a scourge battle, hope is not lost. Someone else may enter the thread to continue the battle after you leave.
- There will be additional scourge [event] threads started by the mods in Ceres Forest as we go into February.
- If all (or at least most) of the scouge threads are not defeated by the end of February, then Ceres will crash and burn.
- First dibs on scourge [event] threads go to low-level characters.
- For the love of god, guys, you can lose any area--in fact, you will probably lose control of some areas--but please don't lose control of the Amberwell. That will have horrible IC repercussions.
Attack on Ceres [event] threads will be going up in the upcoming few days. We'll try to get them up and running asap, but please be patient.

THE AFTERMATH
So, you guys lost the Amberwell but saved everything else in Ceres. Good job, because we should all look on the bright side of things. Now, even as spring inches closer and the weather gradually warms, the Amberwell remains frozen over. Not many Ceres pokémon dare approach the Amber Glade; its waters are now bitter to the tongue, and sticky, black goo drip from plants in place of morning dew. There are sightings of scourge pokémon still lurking around the area upon nightfall, but no-one has been attacked yet. Research facilities have pooled their stash of healing waters together. Altogether, they have enough to sustain about a month -- or less. Olivia is angered at the current state of the Amberwell, and is working on restoring it to its former glory. She works alone, but that doesn't mean that Eos recruits aren't welcome to do some investigating or reconnaissance of their own. - There are six pips in the Amber Glade subforum. Low-level characters are welcomed to do [challenge] threads to defend the glade.
- Every successful [challenge] thread will result in one pip being added to the meter. Filling it out by early April will result in the Amberwell being restored to its former state. Awesome!
- Like before, if you lose a scourge battle, someone else may take your place to continue the fight.
- Less awesome: If you guys fail to fill it up by then, then the Horrible IC Repercussions mentioned in the post above will actually take place.
- Higher-level characters can do [recon] threads instead of challenge threads. Two completed [recon] threads equal one pip in the Amber Glade subforum.
- A researcher must be present in [recon] threads for it to be counted towards pips.
- Vaccine production for researchers continue as usual until further notice. Pax Program bonuses no longer apply.
- Olivia is pissed. Is anyone challenging her any time soon? Who knows.
Try not to speed through your recon threads without substantial content or understanding. Feel free to discuss vaccines, scourge, or conduct experiments in them.
