The season is SUMMER. It is easy for survivors to forage for food from the land, as there are entire abandoned farms ready for harvest. On the downside, you can smell the corpses.

it was the most wonderful time of the year; the time when a bunch of eos members got together to kill scourge and reap mad loot. the researchers were there for entries. thalia was there for mad levelz and prism scales. she wasn't really sure what the scourge were there for, but she hoped they wouldn't get anything out of it except for a bitter and painful death.
thalia took a seat in the second row of the gym, propped her feet up on the row ahead of her, and waited for the show to start.
Neo was there too. It was so convenient that Bacchus was close to Nerio City, because traveling was starting to become incredibly annoying although not actually that uncomfortable.
She was here for the same reason as before: experiments.
For her part, Neo sat in one of the box seats, quietly reading The Baby Name Wizard.
